To provide appropriate infrastructure and a source of continuing financial support for religious and social activities of the growing community served by Central Illinois Mosque and Islamic Center. Anticipated facilities will focus on providing a safe, supportive environment for Muslim students and youth and will include student housing, space for educational services, and recreational facilities.
Project Description The proposed location is just across the parking lot of the existing masjid. This proximity allows people to go back and fourth between the masjid and the new building on foot. Five goals can be achieved by the Expansion of Central Illinois Mosque and Islamic Center project: 1) It'll serve as a WAQF (Endowment). Follow the Sunna by
making a waqf and dedicating its returns as a perpetual sadaqa (Sadaqa
Jarya) Project Finances 1. Land Cost: The total cost of the land is $327,000.
