Welcome to CIMIC!
The Central Illinois Mosque and Islamic Center is a place
of worship for area Muslims and a forum for Islamic
social and educational activities.
Please conduct yourself with respect for this place and
for those who make use of it.
Men and women should wear clean and modest clothing in
any part of CIMIC building and should avoid unnecessary
mixing with members of the opposite sex. Observance of
"hijab" (head scarf for women) is strongly
encouraged.
Adults entering the prayer hall are expected to observe
full "hijab" (head scarf for women) and behave
in a pious manner at all times.
Children are welcome in all parts of the building
including the prayer hall, but they must be under proper
adult supervision at all times.
Conversation in the prayer hall should be in a subdued
voice. No conversation should occur in the prayer hall
during the Friday sermon or while prayers are being
conducted.
